Since I started teaching full time this fall my assignment load has dropped significantly, not that I’m complaining! I’m loving being in the classroom day in and day out, but it’s nice to get behind the lens to shoot an assignment when I can. A huge thanks to my editors at USA Today for working with my schedule now.
Anyways, onto the assignment. I got to the venue a bit late, but was thankful to find that I had a hole for period 1 and found a hole for periods 2 and 3 as well. This game I took a bit of a risk and shot 90% on the ice, typically I shoot 2 periods down low and move up top to finish out the game. But this time I shot almost the entire game from ice level, which I think I’m finally feeling comfortable shooting at (aside from pucks ripping around the glass near my lens), I felt like I made some nice frames during this game. Enjoy!
